Philip ( goes by Ryan)

I work with adults, children, and adolescents on a broad variety of issues, both based in mood and behavior. I utilize CBT and EMDR to treat clients coping with depression, ADHD, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, OCD, poor self-esteem, and disruptive behaviors. CBT, or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, seeks to uncover problematic thinking patterns and core beliefs, and work with the client to change these patterns and beliefs. EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, uses eye movements combined with revisiting troubling memories, which have taught the client a core belief that is problematic, or causing emotional distress in the present.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a counseling concentration, from Mesa State College in Grand Junction Colorado (now called "Colorado Mesa University"), and I received my Masters of Science from the University of Massachusetts, Boston in Mental health counseling. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and I have worked in both private practice and through a community mental health clinic. I have further worked in psychiatric crisis, CBAT, and group homes.

My primary specialties are Mood, Trauma, and SOGI (Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity) exploration and support.
