Amanda

Being a therapist, it is imperative to me that the environment I create is judgment free and open to any and all types of concerns, challenges and experiences. My main, and most important goal is to build a genuine, comfortable and trusting therapeutic relationship, and actively support and encourage my clients throughout the process.

I provide individual, couples and family therapy services to children, adolescents and adults, with a wide range of different experiences and needs. I am familiar with, and skilled in working with symptoms including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorders, relationship issues, self-esteem, trauma/PTSD, ADD/ADHD, life transitions and mood disorders. I have specialized training in child and adolescent trauma, and in using trauma-focused interventions amongst the populations that I treat.

I use eclectic therapy, which is an approach to therapy that is individually based and focused around each person and their particular needs and goals for therapy. Every person and their experiences, both positive and negative, are unique to them. Eclectic therapy honors those individualistic qualities and characteristics, and allows for a more dynamic use of interventions that are customized to each client.

I meet each client where they are at, and help in guiding them in the direction of their goals. I am laid back, honest, and use humor whenever appropriate, while embracing every emotion whole-heartedly. I care deeply for the wellbeing of every one of my client’s, and give support throughout their struggles and confidence in their successes.
